Glass Balustrade & Sleeper Replacement in Eastbourne

We recently completed a stunning installation in Eastbourne, where we replaced an unsafe, sinking glass balustrade and gave the outdoor space a fresh new look. The original balustrade had started to tilt and fail due to rotten wooden sleepers beneath it, creating a safety risk and an uneven finish. Our team stepped in to remove the failing structure and rebuild it with strength, security and style in mind.

Removing the Old balustrade

The first step was to carefully take out the old glass balustrade and the rotting wooden sleepers that were no longer providing the necessary support. Over time, these had sunk into the ground, causing the previous balustrade to tilt and become unstable.

Strong foundations

To ensure long-term stability, we installed new wooden sleepers with secure posts and joists, creating a solid foundation that prevents any risk of sinking or tilting. On top of this, we fitted the old glass used in the old balustrade cleaned up and fitted with a new top rail. The result is a sturdy, long-lasting structure that enhances safety while giving the outdoor area a modern, open feel.

Relaying Steps & Paving Slabs

As part of the project, we also addressed the existing steps. Over time, the original slabs had sunk and become uneven, so we lifted and replaced them with new paving slabs. This not only leveled the area but also provided a clean, refreshed finish that ties in with the new installation.
